The Ebell Scholarship Program

Ebell0186In realizing its motto, “I Will Find A Way, or Make One…” The Ebell pursued its mission of providing scholarships to thousands of students attending Los Angeles County colleges and universities.  Starting with a few students and less than one hundred dollars in 1920, the fund made a great leap in 1927 when the Charles Flint family bequeathed a scholarship endowment to The Ebell. Since then The Ebell has grown and nurtured a multimillion dollar fund. Through its Scholarship Committee, The Ebell continues to award grants totaling over $200,000 annually. More information…


The Rest Cottage Association

IMG_3229For more than 80 years this entity has aided women in need of loving care. At the outset, Ebell members donated their time and services to women convalescing in a small cottage they owned. Today more than $150,000 is donated annually to Los Angeles charities benefiting women. The Rest Cottage grants support abused women, homeless women, ill women and their children. More information…
